針對美國國務(wù)卿魯比奧近日在訪問加勒比地區(qū)期間抹黑中國的言論，外交部發(fā)言人郭嘉昆3日在例行記者會上作出回應(yīng)。

有記者提問，我們關(guān)注到，近日，美國國務(wù)卿魯比奧在訪問加勒比期間表示，中國在圭亞那建設(shè)的公路質(zhì)量很糟糕，一路上差點得腦震蕩。美國希望為相關(guān)國家提供替代性的選擇，請問中方對此有何評論？

During his recent trip to the Caribbean, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that “we almost all had concussions” because the road built by the Chinese in Guyana was so bad, adding that he hoped the US will provide alternatives to that for countries there. Do you have any comment?

郭嘉昆表示，據(jù)我了解，美方所指的那個道路項目根本不是中國企業(yè)承建的。圭亞那方面也已經(jīng)做出了澄清，不知道這位國務(wù)卿先生為什么睜眼說瞎話？

“與其不顧事實地抹黑中國、到處挑撥離間，不如為地區(qū)國家做點實實在在的正事。”郭嘉昆說。

According to what I learned, the road project the US side referred to was not built by any Chinese companies and the Guyanese side has made clarifications on that. I wonder why Mr. Secretary of State told falsehoods like this? They’d better do something tangible and deliver for countries in the region rather than vilify China and sow discords by distorting the facts.
