April 26 is World Intellectual Property (IP) Day. In recent years, China has achieved historic milestones in IP protection and has pioneered a path of IP development with Chinese characteristics. Chinese President Xi Jinping has emphasized the importance of IP protection, urging rapid progress in building China into a global IP powerhouse. Xi is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission.
