A regulatory inspection into Chinese supermarket chain Pangdonglai has found no evidence of excessive markups on its jade products, countering allegations by a social media influencer who accused the retailer of profiteering. The findings, released by the Weidu district branch of the Xuchang Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, come amid a heated legal battle between Pangdonglai and Douyin influencer "Chai Duidui" over claims of commercial slander.
經(jīng)檢查,許昌市胖東來唯初珠寶有限公司2025年1至4月份共銷售和田玉商品4177件,銷售金額2959.2175萬元,平均毛利率不超過20%;目前在售和田玉商品均按規(guī)定明碼標價;被隨機抽查的在售13件和田玉商品進貨手續(xù)齊全,進貨臺賬完備,鑒定機構(gòu)具有合法資質(zhì),鑒定證書有效。
According to a report by Xuchang Daily, authorities conducted a routine check of Pangdonglai's jewelry subsidiary, Weichu Jewelry Co, Ltd, after online discussions questioned the pricing of its Hetian jade products. The inspection revealed that from January to April 2025, the company sold 4,177 Hetian jade items totaling 29.59 million yuan, with an average gross profit margin below 20%. Random checks of 13 in-stock jade products confirmed compliance with pricing regulations, complete sourcing documentation, and valid certifications from accredited appraisal agencies.

The controversy began when influencer Chai Duidui alleged in viral videos that Pangdonglai was selling jade products worth "hundreds of yuan for thousands or tens of thousands" and criticized their quality. The claims, which described jade as the retailer's "core profit driver", sparked widespread debate online, challenging Pangdonglai's reputation for transparency and ethical business practices.
胖東來4月8日發(fā)布針對“柴懟懟”等3起網(wǎng)絡侵權(quán)的回復說明。4月30日,胖東來公布受理案件通知書,顯示關(guān)于起訴“柴懟懟商業(yè)詆毀、侵犯名譽權(quán)”一案,已于4月25日在許昌市中級人民法院立案。
Pangdonglai denied the accusations in an April 8 statement, calling them "unfounded and malicious". On April 30, the company announced that the Xuchang Intermediate People's Court had accepted its lawsuit against Chai Duidui for "commercial defamation and reputational damage".
5月3日,胖東來創(chuàng)始人于東來曾表示,如果不讓“柴懟懟”這種隨意污蔑傷害他人的行為受到應有的處罰,“我會主動關(guān)閉或永遠離開胖東來這個企業(yè)”。
Founder Yu Donglai said on Saturday that he would "voluntarily shut down or permanently step away from Pangdonglai" if such "unfounded defamation" were not legally rectified.
5月3日,“抖音黑板報”公告稱,近日,胖東來創(chuàng)始人于東來對抖音用戶“柴懟懟”提出投訴,經(jīng)審核,被投訴人“柴懟懟”近期視頻中有29條視頻涉嫌侵權(quán)(包括在無充分事實舉證情況下,發(fā)布關(guān)于“胖東來的核心盈利點,在玉上……幾百塊的東西賣幾千幾萬”,“組織水軍吹捧、造神”等信息),均予以下架,根據(jù)《抖音社區(qū)自律公約》,限制賬號投稿權(quán)限一個月。平臺將持續(xù)關(guān)注相關(guān)賬號,如其在處置期后進一步發(fā)布涉嫌侵權(quán)內(nèi)容,將升級處置。
Douyin intervened on May 3 by removing 29 of Chai Duidui's videos, citing violations of community guidelines. The platform accused the influencer of making unsubstantiated claims about Pangdonglai's pricing and falsely alleging the retailer had "organized paid supporters to promote its image". Chai Duidui's account was restricted for one month, with Douyin pledging to adjust penalties based on future court rulings.
公告稱,鑒于胖東來稱已起訴被投訴人,平臺將參考裁決結(jié)果進一步處理。如法院判決被投訴人發(fā)布內(nèi)容屬實且不涉嫌侵權(quán),被投訴人可向平臺申訴解除處罰。
