So even though there are 2 rows, the rank is only 1.

So the columns also show us the rank is only 1.
In fact the rows and columns always agree on the rank (amazing but true!).
When we talk about rows here, we can also say the same thing about columns.
So we don't really need to work out both.

矩陣的“秩”是什么意思，絕大多數(shù)的人第一印象都是秩序的意思，但它明明是 Rank 的意思，兩者意思相差甚遠(yuǎn)。
英文單詞 Rank 的含義：
Rank 在這里應(yīng)該是等級(jí)、級(jí)別的意思，Matrix Rank 其本意是矩陣的等級(jí)是多少。
- 漢字 “秩” 的中文含義：
- 有條理，不混亂的情況：～序。
- 古代官吏的俸祿：“官人益～，庶人益祿”。
- 古代官職級(jí)別：委之?！?。貶～三等。
- 十年：七～壽辰。
通過(guò)查字典可知，秩確實(shí)有級(jí)別的，但絕大多數(shù)人只知道秩序的意思。
